Roundtable Consultation on the Future of Legal Practice-As it Happened

On 24 June 2021, Ekiti State Judiciary in collaboration with Ekiti State Ministry of Justice hosted a productive roundtable session at Adetiloye Hall, Fountain Hotel, Iyin, Ado Eki, Ekiti State to discuss the latest industry developments, trends and what’s in store for the legal field in Ekiti State. The iconic event featured Honourable Justice Kashim Zannah; the Chief Judge of Borno State, Mr Ope Olugasa; the CEO of LawPavilion Business Solutions and Mr Olawale Fapohunda; Ekiti State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice as the seasoned guest speakers.

At the event, Ekiti State’s Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Olawale Fapohunda spoke passionately about how LawPavillion is contributing immensely to the advancement of the State’s Judiciary in recent years. He also stated the plans to enhance the productivity of the State’s legal community by officially collaborating with LawPavilion to further advance legal practice.

The Chief Judge of Borno State, Honourable Justice Kashim Zannah shared insights on the measures taken by the Borno State government in promoting efficiency within its judiciary. Some of the measures highlighted by him were e-filing, case management, information databases, and having a legal ID for judicial officers.

While addressing participants at the event on the paramount importance of having a Judiciary with a strong desire for innovation and results, Mr Ope Olugasa, the CEO of LawPavilion Business Solutions, spoke extensively on having a business model in terms of how the Judiciary conducts its business. He reiterated that the need for embracing the collective effort of all stakeholders in achieving the desired goals and projections of the State’s judiciary is a desideratum.
